A book from about a half a century ago perfectly capturing the kind of society we are living in today..... this an extremely important read if you want to understand how surveillance and control under totalitarian regimes operate.

I just couldn’t get into it. The thought police was a little weird to me… I’ll retry it later. Need something more light hearted

I know it’s a classic and considered one of the most important books of the 20th Century, but honestly it was kinda difficult to get through. At times I can see where critics are coming from but it’s just a bit too intellectual for me

orwells ego shines through the writing, overall a powertrip
