No hubo poema que al terminar de leerlo no sintiera como un alfiler incrustado en el pecho. El poemario cubre muchos temas y sentimientos, pero lo que a mí más me llegó fue su forma de entenderse con los hombres a su alrededor, tanto con su padre como con algunos otros que despiertan erotismo o incluso romance. También me gustó mucho la sensación de intimidad que a momentos raya en lo autobiográfico. El sentir que estaba leyendo un diario me hizo conectar mucho más con sus palabras. Me encantó.

I prefer this to Time is a Mother, but Vuong is definitely not my bag. Beautiful but too esoteric, almost forced for me.
