Good book! Really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to the next in the series. I started this series because the fourth book is about to come out and the tropes are everything I want to read, so I started this series.
There’s just something special about a grumpy single dad in a small town with a filthy mouth… It just does it for me every. single. time. Wyatt was no different

4 STARS
Super cute and steamy, definitely entertaining.
If you love small town, great secondary cast, small town shenanigans and rivals, single dad, great steam, then you’ll enjoy One Look.
There really wasn’t anything that I disliked, but I do wish there would have been a bit more development for them as a couple. There was a also minimal conflict.
Overall, light, easy, and steamy with great narrators. I’ll definitely be listening to the brother’s book.

This small town grumpy dad romance was so good! He’s a retired NFL player who goes home for a funeral with his 7 year old daughter and sees a gorgeous gal who he’s never laid eyes on before crying hysterically at the funeral. One funny moment leads to another in this very charming book.

2.5 stars….rounded to 3. The beginning of this book was kind of a mess but it definitely got better. Good enough that I'll read #2 in the series.

(Dual POVs)
Well if this isn’t the most unique way for two people to meet, I don’t know what is! Lark gets paid to attend a person’s funeral in a small town in Michigan. An aspiring actress, she takes jobs that allow her to practice her acting skills while waiting for her big break. She’s a wanderer who basically goes wherever a job takes her. She’s intrigued by Outtatowner and some of its townspeople, so she decides to stay for a bit.
Lark and Wyatt get off to a bit of a rough start, but I loved how Wyatt starts to immediately see small ways that he can try to help Lark, while trying to convince himself he’s not doing them to help Lark. Examples include thinking he needs to replace the rotted wood of the staircase, or replace a light bulb so she can see the staircase in the middle of the night. It is so easy to fall for a man that has acts of service as his love language! I also loved how he wasn’t afraid to check himself, noticing when he was treating her less than ideally and would apologize.
Lark’s character was authentic. When she decides to stay in Outtatowner, she tries to find a typical, steady job. I thought it was hilarious when things went less than stellar for her and appreciated the realness of her failings. We all have things we’re not good at, but we also have strengths and she jumps into the role of nanny/ assistant very well. She’s genuine, caring, and patient and I really felt like she was the reason why she, Wyatt, Penny, and the three college football players formed a bond with an unusual family dynamic.
I personally wasn’t the biggest fan of the separation between the characters during the conflict only because it made me sad for them and also made me want to talk some sense into them. But, since I couldn’t talk some sense into them

This is such a cute story and after reading the King's family, I loved going back to the beginning with the Sullivans. This strangers-to-lovers, small-town romance has great banter, fun antics & some nice spice & tension that create delicious chemistry between our two MCs. Wyatt is the grumpy single dad to Lark's sunshine new-to-town personality. This is such a strong start to this series - and the element of boss x assistant/nanny with them sneaking around - LOVED!
Ahh where do I even start?! This book was exactly what I love and need! Grumpy/sunshine, nanny/personal assistant and all the laugh out loud banter and scenes to keep you smiling from ear to ear! I could not get enough of Lark and Wyatt! How they met, where their story takes you, everything! I got lost in their love story and I fell in love with this whole new small town Lena introduced us to! All the characters were amazing and I want all of their stories. What a start to this new incredible series! And I cannot wait for One Touch!
When I think about why I love small town romances, this is the reason!! This was a lovely start to a series by Lena! I am obsessed with it.
I am such a sucker for the single dad trope, but add in a grumpy Ex-NFL player, you best believe you had me right then and there. Wyatt was literally everything and more. He is the best dad and just trying to do right by his daughter, and of course she has him wrapped right around her finger.
Lark, our FMC just trying to find an escape for a hot minute before she decides if she is ready to jump back into the Hollywood scene. She is unapologetically her self and I am here for it. Finding a home in the most unlikely places
When I say I loved this book, I freaking loved this book. I was laughing out loud from the get go. Lark and Wyatt have some of the best banter and chemistry in this book. I loved their relationship and watching it grow.
We can't forget Penny, she was a great. I loved her so much. She was so sweet and caring.
Lena knows how to write likable characters that make you want to keep coming back for more!
