2.5 stars. I found the main character, Meddy to be pretty useless. Also this book should’ve been a novella. I was 3/4 of the way through the book and it wasn’t even noon on the actual wedding day! Meddy believed in a family curse that no one else expressed beliefs in simply because the husbands on her aunties and her dad are shitty men. This “curse” caused her to never tell her family about a boyfriend she had for 3 years! How, if they were so close and all lived in the same city did they never find out about him? Her mom and aunties all seem meddling enough that ONE of them should’ve at least seen her and him together or shown up at her dorm and caught them? Nathan was the best character and yet, he was never curious as to why he’s never met her family in 3 years? Even 4 years later finding out that no one in her family had even heard of him he was all good water under the bridge I guess?
I read Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers first and I loved it so I and a friend agreed to read this as well as the next book. Now I wish I wasn’t stuck reading the next book. However, I do like Nathan so hopefully Meddy will be a lot less annoying since they’re back together.

4/5 stars | this was such an easy and fun read that had me laughing a lot! there was a mix of mystery, romance, humor and lots of chaos. knocked it down a star bc the main character was annoying me but other than that i enjoyed it. it got very chaotic at the end and had me saying "what the fuck???" but i actually really liked that. i recommend this to someone thats in a reading slump and just wants a fun read! the audiobook is also good so i recommend that too!
