I'm so in love with this world, another great book that didn't ruin the series by over working the story line. This was very much in its own right a new series.
I don't want another love triangle. I really don't. I understand that this is a YA book and romantic conflict is a given, but I see way too many similarities with Kylie's story already and it's becoming a re-run and a love triangle would become the center of this series AGAIN.
Della is kick-ass. She has goals to accomplish, organizations to join, missions to lead, shit to figure out, family to find, people she wants to prove herself to. She realizes all this and she's been strictly "Yes I see the physical attraction and yes boys are an issue, but I have bigger and more important issues to deal with right now." I like that. I have a feeling, however, that her romantic relationships will be at the forefront in the next books.
When she does choose someone I want her to choose Chase.
Chase challenges her, calls her on her bullshit, cares for her, and he's the type of boy that would let Della handle her own problems and wait to see if she needs help before butting in. He wouldn't stifle her growth, and I think he's the type of person who would her move into her powers and advance in the ranks of the FRU without standing in her way. He and Della have this natural chemistry and the main thing is, they are GOOD for each other. Right now, Della needs someone who can be there for her without being overwhelming. I don't think Steve can be that person, and they're slowing drifting apart.
I'm curious about how this will pan out, but mostly, I'm curious about Della's journey into the world of FRU missions and how she's going to take to being a reborn. Sign me up for the next book.

An awesome spin off of Shadow Falls! Just as intriguing with the same wonderful characters and amazing plot twists!
This story was great. I wanted more from Steve at so many points though. I feel like we didn't bond with him enough in the beginning. Same with Chase to be honest but I got almost enough from him. I wanted more romance and triangles as a whole throughout this book. Still going on to read the next one. C.C. Hunter never dissapoints. Each book has me swooning, scared for everyone involved, and creeped out. Keep the adventures coming, please!
Mir hat die Shadow Falls Camp Reihe eigentlich gut gefallen, deswegen war ich etwas skeptisch alls ich von dem Spin-off gehört habe. Allerdings wurde ich positiv überrascht, man bekommt viel von der alten Story mit, es geht quasi weiter, nur unter anderer Perspektive. Della ist ein ziemlich komplizierter Charakter und ihr hin und her könnte einen ganz schön nerven aber ich kann ihr Gefühlschaos ziemlich gut verstehen und finde ihre innere Ungewissheit darüber nachvollziehbar. Ich bin auf jeden Fall gespannt wie sich die Serie noch entwickelt, Potential ist da :)

I read this book in middle/high school and it’s clearly one of my favorite ever. The shadow falls saga has my all heart, but the della trilogy is INCREDIBLE, I love it so much. Her story, background, and love triangle (Chase>Steve) are well written and so enjoyable. I préfère the trilogy over the Kylie saga even though I adored it.
I was curious as to how they were going to portray a secondary character as the main character. At first, I thought it would be a prequel, but it is a continuation of the original series.
