I read this series the first time a couple months after I read the first Shadow Falls books with the POV of Kylie, and I knew that since I loved those, I would love Della's just as much or even maybe more. When I first read this series, that is exactly what happened. I loved Della's POV more than Kylie's and I think that is just because I relate more to Della with her family dynamic, and lets face it, I like Della's love triangle boys better. Steve is literally amazing and Chase is also pretty great. I just like their characters better than Derek and Lucas in the Kylie love saga.

But, besides that, I also thought the character development for Della just seemed better written and again I related more to it than Kylie. I also felt this one had a little bit more of a mystery sub-genre and edge to it than Kylie's five books which is another reason I liked it a bit better.

Now, I just finished my reread of this book a month or so ago, and I still love it. Just like Kylie's first five books, this series is just such a comfort read for me. I relate with Della quite a lot when it comes to her father situation, and so the lines about her father just hit me straight in the heart. So, even though I first read this when I was around sixteen and now I am in my twenties rereading them, I love them. Like Kylie's, they are not without their cheesy tropes, but I love them for it anyway.

I absolutely loved getting to hear Della's story. She was one of my favorite characters in the original series, so it was fun getting to see what she goes theough. I really liked this story. Not only was the storyline pretty fresh, I was also very happy with the introduction of the newer characters. Vampire back stories are always pretty fun as well. If you have read the Shadow Falls series, I definitely recommend picking this one up as well.

Being pulled back in to one of my favourite series in the follow on, Reborn, has left me feeling as all the other Shadow falls books did: desperate for more. Finally getting insight to the thoughts and emotions of Della Tsang, I found out that she's really just like every one else. Even though I liked Kylie's perspective more with all the ghosts and visions, Della's perspective was still very entertaining. Especially with the new love triangle. I love how C.C. Hunter manages to pull off love triangles when so many other books can't, while also focusing on developing the characters. This book held me interested through the entire way with all the mystery, leaving me in dire need for the second one.

Loved it! but I love all of C.C. hunters books. but this oe will forever hold a special place in my heart.

An eARC review.

I really enjoy reading Reborn, Della is strong and an interesting character to read about that really draws me into her story. This book is easy to follow, full of mysteries that you couldn't help but to wonder what will happen next.

Since I haven't read the Shadow Falls series, I am not familiar with Della's character. The book started with Della at home for parents' weekend. Della was sad and miserable because her family doesn't know she is a vampire, they thought she was rebellion and basically a trouble teen. Her father espically doesn't even acknowledge her existent. Then she discovered that her father had a twin and supposedly "die" a long time ago. However, Della wasn't convince, she think her uncle was "turn" into a vampire and faked his dead. Given that vampire virus is genetic, she decided to investigate her uncle's dead and past.

Della is quite sensitive and feels strongly responsible to her family and friends, which often affects her mood greatly. Her estrange family situation, her possible distant vampire family, her cousin's death, and the brutal crime happened right outside of Shadow Falls committed by another vampire. Quite a lot happened in this book that mostly directly related to Della. But instead of reach out for help, letting other to share her pain, Della mostly endured them alone. I can see Della is learning to trust her friends, learning to open her heart to another again. I thought Chase was a great match for her, he go out his way to draws Della out of her shield. Although his motive is still questionable at this point.

There is a love-triangle in this book, however since the books doesn't focus on her romance, so it didn't overwhelm with the story.

I do have a pet peeve about names, I thought the "Asian" names in this book were quite generic if not stereotypical. "Chan" is actually a very common Chinese Surname, so it was weird that was Della's cousin's name. I do like that Dalla was half-Chinese, although she was described not having much Chinese feature, in fact in the book it said Della was nothing like her father. It was still nice to see a little diversity though.

I kept wondering what's the connection between the title of the book and the story, though we don't find out until very end of the book. However, it is quite interesting when its revealed that I wonder what will it mean for Della. (also Della and Chase).

I really enjoyed Della's story, and am look forward to read the next one!

Happy reading!

I enjoyed this a great deal more than expected. The love triangle I could live without, but I really liked everything else. It's an interesting world, and Della is a cool protag. I particularly liked the friendships she has with the other girls. I'm now going to check our the previous series, which of course I've been totally spoiled for now, but oh well!

As much as I love Della, she got on my nerves at times.

Love love love!

Dellas Leben gerät bald sehr in Turbulenzen.
