It was a pleasure to read this story. It was slow at first, so I had to pause, but once I picked it up again, I couldn't put it down. The relationship between Tom, Marion, and Patrick is so complex that I couldn't help but root for each of them. I'm so invested in how the story will unfold and how everything will eventually come to a close with their relationship.
I first learned about this book because Harry Styles would be playing one of the characters. But, regardless of who is playing whom, I believe this book deserves to be recognized.
Overall, I think this is a must-read if you plan on watching the adaptation. I genuinely think the complicated relationship of Tom, Marion, and Patrick explores a new dynamic and opens up conversations about love, loyalty and devotion.

Gerai, nemeluosiu.

I am not sure how exactly I feel about this book. Also, why would you gave me a spoiler of Anna Karenina.

It was a little slow, but I liked how it was told in different points of view. Well written, but not my favorite.

My Policeman is a deeply compassionate, emotionally complex, tragic novel - an entanglement of characters’ pain at the hands of others, themselves, and a society plagued with homophobia. While a deeply important novel, I felt sometimes unable to connect fully with Patrick, Marion, and Tom. I waited for first person Tom’s perspective and wished the story followed a more linear structure as large chunks of time felt abandoned in the (distant) past-present framing.
