It was really funny when he mentioned that Jace looks familiar when he met him. I was like "oh yeah because that was before Jace knew who his true parents were and Magnus has a long history with Herondales. He must have been furious when he found out later lol."

Out of all the characters in the Shadowhunters world, Magnus Bane is definitely my favorite. So of course I was thrilled to see an entire book devoted to short stories about Magnus's life. He's a colorful character who lived his life on his own terms, no matter what period of time it was in. The stories ranged from the 1700s to nearly present day, and I loved seeing snippets of different times throughout his life. Some of the stories were important moments in Shadowhunter and Downworlder history, others were important moments in actual real-world history, some were important parts of Magnus's life, and some were just fun stories. But each was told with Magnus's characteristic flair, humor, and amazing sense of fashion.
