Flawed characters working through their issues while falling in love. Fun telenovela setting, big extended Puerto Rican family, supportive sisterhood.

Ooh this one was STEAMY. Like probably don’t bring to work to read over lunch break steamy. But I LOVED how the strength of the cast was so diverse. Tiny moments like the pride and trans flags being displayed on the show runners board, and seeing a Puerto Rican lead. It was fabulously written, steamy af, and just a good read.

This is a sweet and saucy romance that centers around the stars of an up and coming television series falling in love on and off the screen.

When a popular streaming service casts Jasmin Lin Rodriguez in one their new shows, it's the break she needs to move her career forward. Having been in LA working on a popular soap opera, this new opportunity could be exactly what she needs to make it in the mainstream market. It's also the perfect opportunity to move on from her very public breakup with her well known musician boyfriend. Heartbroken and embarrassed by the brutal tabloid coverage of the breakup, Jasmin moves to New York to start filming, hoping it will boost her career and keep her out of the limelight. Everything is set but when her co-star breaks his leg and the romantic lead playing opposite her is recast, Jasmin finds herself face to face with telenovela superstar, Ashton Suarez.

Like Jasmin, Ashton is hoping the new show will propel his career from telenovela fame to mainstream stardom. However, he wants to protect his family and give his son the most normal life possible - and that means keeping him out of the lenses of the paparazzi at all costs. But with the continued press for the show and rumors of a growing attraction to Jasmin, will he be able to keep a low profile?

This is a quick read. I found it to be full of well placed pop culture references and a diverse fully realized cast of characters. I loved the author's decision to included chapters that were scenes from the tv show being made - a clever move that I think added to the overall story. For those of you who love a good soapy, sexy romantic drama - check this one out.

FYI - Open Door Romance.

An easy read! It was a great slow burn romance story and a great story of a woman trying her best in her field. I look forward to the next one.
