Definitely more of a 3.5 but I enjoyed this overall. I actually found myself loving the Carmen episode chapters more, maybe because it elevated the soapy feel of the romance. There are some parts that are cringey millennial but I also think it’s expected in 2022. Love the Latinx rep, and def will be reading the next book about the Primas!
This book wasn’t the best romance story I’ve ever read. I enjoyed it, but it could’ve been so much better. Jasmine and Ashton were both amazing character, but there was just something missing. I just didn’t love them enough to give this book 5 stars.
I did love the telenovela scenes. It felt like two stories in one, and I even felt for the characters they played. I loved how Jasmine and Ashton were trying very hard not to fall for each other, but failed in the end. The chemistry was on point. It was steamy enough. And Ashton was just super hot.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book, but I expected a little more of it!

I read this one either late 2020 or early 2021 and loved it! I’ve been wanting to re-read it for awhile and I’m so glad I did because I LOVED it!
I loved how we got both their love story & the scenes they were filming, as they were essentially forced together acting while also figuring out their own feelings for each other. It added so much tension and so many layers to their relationship.
I loved the character growth they both have to go through thanks to what they've both walked through in the past. Ashton's anxiety & PTSD aren't named until the end, but are clearly there throughout the book.
Just overall love love love this book, and cannot wait to read book 2 & then book 3 when it comes out in May!

This was a super cute romance! I really enjoyed the setting (NYC, on set for a new tv show) and the characters. Easy read, not deep, and fairly predictable, but I was entertained and it was a nice escape from the craziness of the world. I would definitely read another book by this author!
This was so cute!! I loved it. If you’re a fan of telenovelas, or Americanized ones like Jane the Virgin, this is the perfect story for you.
This cover is fire, and I really loved the Latinx storyline and characters. But I thought the book was so boring! I read the first 50 pages at my normal speed, and just couldn't muster the energy to read anymore so I finished by speed reading the rest.
