Nice book. I love the last chapter. It's kind of a slow burn so the beginning can get pretty boring. I didn't really like the characters, except maybe the priest and the vampire; they are the most interesting ones and they're interaction was pretty cool (maybe the coolest part of the book). It's worth the read. Great story.

 Rating: A

This edition of the book includes: two supplementary stories and deleted passages from the book.
One about a duo drinking in a bar when a man stumbles in during a snow storm. His wife and daughter are still in their car and they've crashed into a snow bank.
The second is about the history of Jerusalem's Lot and the familial Boone connection.

This one is chilling as hell. It's horribly beautiful and an amazing vampire novel. I found that I was scared of the dark for months afterword--definitely one of the better of King's works.

Well-written. King knows how to craft a sentence; that's for sure. Scenery, character description, small town life, all beautifully done. The plot is reminiscent to Dracula. I must ask though: how is this scary or considered horror? Was anyone actually afraid reading this??
