This was a genuinely difficult story to read. I recognized many parts in my life and the life of many of my friends. In fact, i nearly had an anxiety attack at several points. But my word, it was breathtaking. Jill speaks with such clarity, grace, and strength. She is forthright and unflinching. Yet so full of love. The words that come to mind is "grace filled".

Jim Bob is the worst. (Audiobook)

A very heartfelt and genuine memoir. If you grew up watching the Duggars on tv, this is a must-read! Jill is not a writer by trade, but she does her best to tell the very engaging and emotional story of her life. Overall, I’d give it 3.5/5 stars.

Interesting insight on a very famous family. They are still very problematic themselves but it is a great conversation starter on the harms of organized massive for-profit religions and the outcomes that it could lead to. Although these two still have some harmful opinions, you can see that it stems from their environment they were raised in. I hope in the future they become better and more inclusive, and I commend her for speaking her truth on her abuse so eloquently.
