Calaena the fearsome assassin who had everything taken from her learns what can happen when someone takes a chance on you and helps you heal yourself.  In The Assassins Blade Calaena was arrogant and thought nothing could go wrong but now she still has confidence in herself and her skills but has lost that arrogance.  I love the friendship between Calaena, Dorian, and Chaol, but I adore the friendship between Calaena and Nehemiah.  I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Fun as a one off but as I have continued in the series it is not as strong of a book.
