I have to say I couldn't understand how the characters could think everything that happened was meant to be. He was holding Shannon to a spell when he knew she didn't speak the language. She was avoiding the consequences of her actions. Although I have to say no one would likely think a true love spell would bring them a demon and can understand a bit of her denial the whole continuing the spell after despite not knowing what the words were. Why? As a whole, it was a fluff read, with no real plot development but interesting enough.

for me

It you want a book that has plot and a little spice but isn’t super developed this is for you. This is a good book is you just want a quick and easy book without having to think too much. There are parts that truly are just hilarious. For me this was a good book and I would recommend it simply because I just think it was funny. It was almost lighthearted in a way. I was sad there wasn’t more spice. I think if there was this book could be a four. Sadly I was disappointed and there really wasn’t any spice. Overall a good book and was very short. 3.5/5

What Kept/Didn’t Keep Me Reading:
The overall story had so much potential. I was quite intrigued with the idea of Sombra, and their law being involved in the fated mate trope. Unfortunately, you spend most of this story in Shannon’s perspective of “should I or should I not fuck the demon?” in the most obnoxious and dull way. I was impulse to buy this book based off a Tiktok Shop FYP ad, the ad made the book seem like it was going to be so spicy! … There’s a lot of half-assed build up moments, but the final shebang, the scene you all read and wait for….was basically nothing. If the author would take some extra time developing the story and not rush and ending, instead of making this a standalone w/ this couple you could have written it out to be something more.

What Would I Read Next from This Author:
Probably not. This was a one and done.
The version of this book I have and I didn't even bother to read the Santa Clawz bonus story.

Je sais pas pourquoi je l’ai lu jusqu’au bout, mais je l’ai fait. Est-ce que j’ai aimé ? Étrangement, oui. Est-ce que je l’assume ? Pas du tout. Est-ce que j’ai envie de lire un roman dans ce style ? Hell yeah.
