I loved the world building, the unique rules and laws for the “monster” the characters, the love story. This book was adorable and it has some spice. Overall I’m excited to read the rest of the series.

This novella length monster romance is hilarious, riveting, and romantic while also reminding everyone exactly why you shouldn't play with spell books in a language you don't understand... or maybe you should if you need a demon mate for yourself 😘
Shannon was relatable in her impulsiveness and Malphas was the sweetest cinnamon roll of a demon there ever was. This book teeters more towards a 3.5 than a full 4 for me just because I feel like there could have been more world building (discovering the Sombra Demons and how their world functions)
