I usually love Sarah McClain and maybe if I was in a different mood I wouldn’t have rolled my eyes so far back in my head, but I wasn’t and I did so I’m skipping this one

Liked it less than the first one, his big secret was…okayyyy. Also the applying overt, signal feminism every other chapter was a little annoying. Will take a break from author but probs read next time im in a rut and need a push

His only personality traits are being HUGE & Scottish while hers are being GORGEOUS & vulnerable. Their "meet cute" is him ripping a door off his hinges when she shuts it in his face because he won't honor her wishes to be left alone. So romantic...

I liked the first book in this (loose) series more, but this was still fun. I just got annoyed by the length of the "She deserves better" in this book. But I did enjoy seeing the Talbot sisters from book 1 again!

"You do not let them win. Not ever. There is nothing in the world they like more than tearing a woman down for having too much courage. And there is nothing in the world that makes them angrier than not being able to break her."

Absence makes the Scot grow fonder

Adored this installment! There is something about a big Scot with an even bigger heart. ♥️

🎙️ The audiobook was a pleasant way to escape while doing housework. Justine Eyre always delivers a great performance.

🎧 I highly recommend speeding the reading pace up. I listen at 2x the speed.
