i really liked this for what it was - not comparable to my dark vanessa but good if you like satisfying character development, mall emo nostalgia and early online chatting. i thought that for a teenager was getting her shit together and constantly getting shit thrown at her, liv was managing /too/ well. the grooming shit made me feel sick because it was so insidious and could seem normal to an ignorant onlooker. not seeing the outcome of liv reporting mr. travis to the principal was one of the few threads of development that i wish had been knotted together. it was a fun and easily completed read.
