More like 2.5!

1. There are so many grammatical errors?? Didn’t this get proofread ?

2. We get it! IT WILL LEAVE A MARK/BRUISE god how many times can one sentence be used in the book

3. Just nah…like just vibes no depth

Well I quite enjoyed Charity's take on a mafia romance and there's a bit of a taboo element with the MMC being the best friend's father. Oh, and he's the Don ;-)

Cristian was an absolute grump and doesn't like getting his buttons pushed at all, which brings in Natalia. Here to rock the boat a bit and I was absolutely here for it. Creates an amazing dynamic between the two and builds up that delicious tension between them. As much as Cristian tries to keep Natalia at a distance, there's always something that keeps her close and untouchable ... to everyone else, but him.

If you're a fan of Charity's work, this is her darkest book yet. Definitely graphic on the violence, so consider the content warnings.

Such a quick, fun, and oh-so delicious read and solid start to Charity's new series. Absolutely can't wait to devour the next one!

I binged this, I couldn’t stop! HOLY MOLY! I was iffy in the beginning but it got so good!!

Natalia needs protection and knows just the man to provide it. Her best friends dad is the head of the Marchetti Mafia Family and a rude prick.. he’s willing to help but nothing he does it out of the kindness of his heart. Cristian didn’t become the mafia king by showing weakness or trusting just anyone.. She’ll do what he says or he’ll give her to the Lombardi family on a platter.

My God this was intense! Cristian makes you want to murder him about 50% of the time. I really disliked him at first. But when that man opens up and shows a tiny bit of his black heart, holy freaking cow. Natalia is one lucky ass woman, let me tell you. I love how much spunk she has and uses it to push Cristian’s buttons. LOL she has some balls.

Idk why I like mafia romances so much because if a man ever treated me this way, I’d cry. No question about it.

As far as mafia stories go, this was a bit on the lighter side and not as dark and heavy as I tend to read which has been a nice break from all that.

It’s a quick read and it moves briskly, the writing isn’t as heavy as what I’ve been reading lately which, again, has been nice to get a little brea from. This is a great way to hand a story that isn’t filled with brutality and deep heaviness but still getting that mafia hit that you need.

Twisted, explicit scenes, violence it is all so very good. Loved this plot and the characters were very interesting. Easy to follow and enjoy. The narration was absolutely amazing. I recommend this book.

I didn't like how the MMC treated the FMC for the first third of the book. The FMC was a bad ass which I liked. The MMC eventually gets his shit together, but it did feel rushed that he went from being willing to sacrifice her to "touch her and die". Overall, I enjoyed it.
