Adam Wylie and his family are excited to move into their dream home, a large Victorian house in an affluent neighbourhood. Their excitement soon diminishes when Adam discovers a concealed room containing peculiar items: a Rolex watch, a scarf, an old mobile phone, a dog collar and a key. His curiosity about these items sets off a change of events that jeopardizes his whole family’s safety.
A great, fast paced book with loads of twists and turns. I didn’t particularly like any of the characters, and found myself shouting at the book a few times over Adams questionable decisions, but story had me gripped and I found it hard to put down.
The ending tied everything together and it was an ending I didn’t see coming.
