Well I didn't see that coming… it was giving Flock / Exodus vibes but much more darker.
I still didn’t love the audiobook & that slightly impacted my overall enjoyment & experience. Both MMC just weren’t it…. Sorry

Everything about this duology was wonderful. I thought the author mis-stepped the timing on some critical character growth arc moments. Certain events didn't have the impact I believe she was going for. But these are small gripes. The overall story sucked me in and never let me go.
Even now, I feel depleted of thought now that it's over. My brain keeps hoping there will be more, but alas.
