A disappointing offering from an author capable of much better.
Gave up after roughly 200 pages. The story surrounding David was dreary and went on for way too long, for my liking. I wasn’t too motivated to keep on reading the other stories after that. Though I might give it another try at some point.
I want to give each of the three sections of this book a different rating.
Particularly got stuck into the first and third books. The third felt uncomfortably close to home.

The stories and characters just never pulled me in. The wiring is long with a lot of unnecessary text, with themes that didn’t really speak to me. The plot and structure could have been interesting, but I didn’t find enough connection between the separate stories. I stopped at the end of the second book - maybe I’ll go back and finish the third book and it will come together more…
