The Book is funny. Then again D.L. Hughley is very funny. It has a lot to think about and they way he says things make a lot of sense. It makes you think, it makes you wonder, and most of all you have to be open mind it about his funny way of saying things. I will recommend the book for some one that needs to laugh and needs a pick me up from every day life. its a hard truth but he makes it interested. Yes i will change my Rap music to the police or classical if i get stop. =0)

I really did not want to like this book. Despite the book being satire, it was well researched - full of stats and facts. I audibly laughed and Hughley shows the contradictions in advice white people give black people "to not get shot."

I almost gave it a 4 but at the end, he makes comments about the LGBT community that do make sense but I do not completely agree with. They could have potentially been stated better.
