I really thought the author was about to kill them off in the epilogue…

It’s cute and a really great example of closed door romance with enough spicy moments. I think they are way too easy though, like most basic character arcs and the conflict is truly in their head. It’s a little confusing why Will is all the sudden down for marriage ya know. But it’s cute and I love the small town grumpy sunshine, even though Annie’s a little literal and seems like she is 21

a sequel to When in Rome with almost an identical plot with some differences here and there. still a very clean book, but a bit more imaginative and descriptive. i see a lot of similarities between noah and will.

annie is such a sweet soul and it breaks my heart that anyone only thinks of her as the angelic, goody two shoes she is. i loved getting to know her throughout the book. seeing her come out of her shell and how spunky and introspective she really is. i felt like the ending of the book was a bit rushed, and think even if annie and will didn’t end up together i would’ve been happy with the growth she’d made and how comfortable she was in her own skin.

I read the first book, When in Rome, and I really didn't love it (2 stars).  It was just a little meh to me.  I wasn't going to read this one, but when I saw it was revolving around Annie, I picked it up because I liked her in the first book.  This is a book that I feel was very much a "me" book.  I saw a lot of people rate this pretty low, but I loved it.  I felt a connection to Annie as someone that has been perceived a certain way my whole life, despite being completely different.  Yes, the dialogue was a little embarrassing sometimes, but I just smiled, cringed and continued on.  I loved both the FMC and MMC.
