This is a standalone but it’s in the same series as the Second Sons duology. And because Emily Rath is my new favorite author she gives a “previously on” before you begin. I can’t… she is a gem.

Second chance romance and marriage of convenience? Loving the tropes. And loved the two men. Definitely a fun mènage where everyone loves everyone. It doesn’t get better than that.

Medium burn with daisy chain, primal play, spitroast, dp, and spanking.

This book was EVERYTHING I wanted it to be. Emily’s writing is fantastic, her characters are just amazing. And it should be mentioned that our side characters (the main characters from the first two books) are HILARIOUS is this! Please read this whole series of you like why choose. It’s so much fun!!

I really loved Madeline’s character. She was a joy to read about. The connection between Warren and Charles was so full of longing and tension. So good!

There's just something about a regency romance that does it for me every time. And Emily Rath writes it so well

Ladles and Jellyspoons, Lady Rath has done it again!

I'll admit, I have a soft spot for the second son's series. It was regency romances that introduced me to the romance genre as a whole, and seeing queer representation is that world, makes me a very happy little queer!

I'm not going to go into the story too much, other reviewers can do that, instead I'm going to tell you what Emily has done with this beautiful little story.

She has given voice to those generations of queer men and women who were silenced by a society with at best would shun them, and at worse, taken their lives. Anyone who has studied letters from the past will know the narrative of 'they were just very good friends', or 'he never married, preferring the company of his valet'. Time and time again, the epic loves which flew in the face of societal norms have been dismissed.

I think Emily may have just fixed that.

The MM relationships in these books never feel like they are done to titillate the reader. Instead, they are deep, abiding love stories which make my heart sing.

Thank you, Emily, for writing stories which free the big secret. That LGBT people have always lived, and loved, fiercely - and the love is never something shameful.
