Loved all the pairings in this story and the over arching plot that entwined both Madeline and Rosalie's stories was so good! I'm knocking off half a star for the blatant James Albus Severus name they gave poor baby number two lol

This is book 3 in the Second Sons series. Technically, you could read it as a standalone, but the 4 main characters of the precedent duet being so present in this book, take my advice and read Beautiful Things and His Grace The Duke first.

Now, where to begin?... This book follows Lady Madeline as she must find a husband in the next 3 weeks or she loses her inheritance. Her family doesn't want her to claim it, so she runs to her friend Rosalie to Alcott Hall. There, she makes the reacquaintance of Charles, a curate soon to be vicar, and she meets Warren, a gameskeeper at Alcott Hall. The men already know each other.

This book is just amazing! I had high expectations because the series is my favorite series of all time, and I adored Rosalie and her men. Well, I was not disappointed! It is so beautifully written and the relationships so intricately woven... I liked Madeline in the first 2 books, but she was very discreet and shy. In AH, she really blossoms into a strong woman who goes after her heart. Charles is still so sweet... I liked him before, but I love him now! And what to say about Warren?! He's so strong, not just physically, but emotionally as well! He fights for what his soul wants, and it's beautiful to see. And of course, seeing Rosalie, James, Tom and especially Burke again is amazing! Their chemistry is still explosive, and they're just as charming as they always were...
I recommend this book to anyone who wants a Why Choose novel. And if you're into historical romance and have never read a Why Choose book, make this series your first, because you will love it, hopefully as much as I love it! ❤️
