DID NOT FINISH

Although a huge read, I enjoy this book for readings on meditation and mindfulness. I’ll pick it up ever so often and read a chapter. It is well written and easy to understand.

Not my favorite by one of my favorite authors. So many good messages, but too long to get the messages across to all but the devoted.

Very thoughtful book about the value and importance of mindfulness and awareness for individuals, society and global community.

But repetitive and whilst advocating being could have perhaps been more helpful with how to be.

Too many words that get in the way. The path to mindfulness is surely less verbose than this.

A very hefty book, but full of wisdom and generous motivation for the reader that is rare in a lot of writers of the same genre. I feel like Kabat-Zinn genuinely cares about his readers' well being and offers sage advice about how to change the world by first changing yourself. Much to read, but much to think about and do. I'll need to buy a copy because I felt compelled to highlight and annotate something on nearly every page.

I am counting this done, even though I didn't actually finish it. I got the good stuff from it, but it didn't hold my interest as well as Full Catastrophe Living. Too meandering, I think.
