It was an okay book but it's not even Christmastime. A few of you will get why I finally read this one, though. <3

This book has one of the best chapters ever written!! It consists of three words only and so fits the moment.

a nice change of pace from standard holiday fare, but not as nuanced or funny as "a dirty job" by this author.

You have to take Moore's writing from a smart ass, subversive perspective, but this either went too far or not far enough; I can't really tell. It dragged in the middle, and I never quited understood why the stupidest angel showed up in the first place. Disappointing.

This book has everything, a pot-smoking police man, a broad sword toting schizophrenic ex-B movie star, a man with a talking fruit bat who sports ray-bans, and zombies. Christmas carol this isn't, but this book is a fun and wild ride. I found myself laughing out loud through the whole book. Christopher Moore is a wonderful writer if you like a like horror with your humor (or vice versa!).

It was a funny book and appropriate to read during Christmas.
funny fast-paced

A funny tale about an angel who comes to Pine Cove to grant a child a Christmas wish.  The angel messes up the wish and things get out of control.  The characters we meet are all a bit quirky, fun, and funny.  Overall an enjoyable read.
