Like Indy would say, this is THE shit =D
Jet had a lot of problems: her mother had a stroke that left her partially paralyzed, she is forced to have two jobs (including one in a titty bar as waitress) in order to cover her medical expenses and her father who returned recently in town came not only with his guitar but with lots of scary and armed problems. Added to that the beautiful Eddie who seems to be a little too interested in her and it's not hard to get that Jet is SO in trouble.
The author's style is still as cool as before and the story was more complex here which I greatly appreciated. I love also the very detailed descriptions of all the heroines' clothes, it makes me want to renew my dressing =D
The main characters were better here : Jet who is a walking-talking disaster soo funny (I loved the "I have a problem with your kind ..." xD) and sooo endearing and even though Eddie is a little (a lot in fact) macho, it bothers me less than with Lee (and then he is just soo PFIOULALA).
I also enjoyed the secondary characters, including Smithie, Daisy (she is sooo cute with Marcus, I'd love having their story !!), Tod (I'd love to see one of his shows !!), Tex of course and Lee's boys (especially Vance ... OMG OMG OMG OMG !!! I don't know if I will survive his book ><)
Same critic as in the preceding book, relationships are evolving too fast >< (and here if it were not for all Eddie's family, it would have been even faster !!)
To sum up, a book really great and I'm looking forward to read the next book which is about Hank, Lee's brother ><
PS: I need SOO need to go to Denver, like right now ><

The overall story was great, but damn, if I heard her say eek one more time I was gonna punch a whole in the wall. Who even says that. And so. many. times!

Well, well, well… Rock Chick Rescue is better than Rock Chick but it’s not that great yet.

Jet is a better heroine than Indy, that’s for sure but umh, at times, she could be annoying and a bit childish too. She’s a very insecure woman so I get that she’s not used to having attention toward herself but she was clueless. At the beginning okay, I understand but at some point she should have realized that Eddie was with her because he liked her and not because he was pitying her or something…
Still, she made me laugh, especially at the beginning of the book. She was so awkward and cute. There was a BIG misunderstanding between Eddie and her (it didn’t last long tho) and it was hilarious, seriously.

Eddie was a good MC. Very sweet and possessive and alpha-male (it wouldn’t be a KA’s book without that). I just loved when he was speaking Spanish. Like Lee, he was a very patient man. Like I said, Jet wasn’t as bad as Indy but she had her moments too. And the fact that she was super insecure and always trying to give him a reason to break up with her was really annoying for me, but sweet Eddie didn’t buy her bullshits and he stayed by her side.

Unfortunately, I found that something was still missing. The plot was not good. I did not like it, it was practically the same as in book #1 and nothing exceptional happened. I mean, Kristen’s book are supposed to be exciting and hot and suspenseful. Please, Rock Chick, do not disappoint me again.

The secondary characters were mostly the same as in book #1. There were some new ones like Jet’s sister and mother. Her father, Ada the old neighbor, Bear and Lavonne, Daisy (loved her!!!), Smithie and Eddie’s family etc. I love Tex, this guy is awesome. I love the rest of the guys, I cannot wait to read more about all of them.

I was not happy with the ending. Totally not cool. It ended so abruptly, I didn’t see it coming. There wasn’t an epilogue, I didn’t feel like their problems were solved correctly and
SpoilerEddie didn’t even say the “L” word, I mean… WHAT!!!???
I was seriously pissed at that ending.

I’ll read Rock Chick Redemption for sure. I just hope that I’ll find everything that I love in KA’s books in it!

3.8 stars. Ok I’m liking this series more as I read them. As I’m bringing to understand the pattern and develop connections between the characters.
There were a few repetitive bits in this book - much is the attitude of the ‘rock chick’ as well as the attitude of the guy trying to protect her. Though this I’ve concluded that all ‘Rock Chicks’ share a single brain cell that encourages danger and not listening to the boyfriend that seems much more capable of taking care of whatever problems/danger that these ‘Rock Chicks’ get into.
I have also discovered I love Daisy and would very much like to read her story. I want to know how she got involved to Marcus and I want to know her story - apparently even more hectic then these two previous book.
Jet was a pretty cool character, having a better appreciation for her attitude and her survival instincts (or lack there of). I do wish that there had been a little more focus on building the relationship with Eddie. With the previous book it was easier to overlook because they had grown up together and knew each other for so long that they didn’t need to ‘get to know’ each other. However, in this book Jet literally meets the crew in the last chapter of the last book (or the first chapter of this book). So they do need to get to know each other, which I kind of feel they didn’t really. Everything moved very quickly - which makes sense since these books only take place within like two weeks - even though it seems like way longer.
I also much admit I didn’t like Jet’s daddy issues. She was constantly saying she was boring and didn’t really believe in herself. She also didn’t believe she was worth Eddie’s time and efforts. As well as those of all her new friends who love hard and protect their own (which I love). I wouldn’t have minded this so much if it let up towards the end of the book. But pretty much til the last page she was determined to leave everyone behind because she thought she was boring and plain (which doesn’t make sense to me) but also didn’t do her character growth justice. There wasn’t really a cliche moment of her being like omg everyone loves me and I love all of them. She does end up with Eddie of course, which makes it even stupider that she’s so reluctant to allow love into her life.
Overall I enjoyed this book. It wasn’t an intense read, but fun and fairly long - which is a nice change of pace. Lots of drama and adventure and danger.

Fun rock chick book. I really liked Jet and Eddie. He doesn't force and when he's mad he says his piece and let's it go. There was no over the top drama, or not much.
I love these books!!

I loved this book!

Kristen Ashley is one of my favorite authors. I found her books, starting with Knight, back in 2012 and I haven't looked back since. She is one of my few auto buys when it comes to books.

What I like about her books are the depth that she puts in them. The books in each series can be read alone, with cameos from each couple as you get farther into it, but you get more things from each story.

Rock chick rescue is about Jet. She is currently working herself to the bone to help support herself and her disabled mother. She is trying to not depend on anyone, but the rest of the Rock Chicks isn't going to let that happen! Eddie Chavez isn't going to let her hide from him either!

Start with Rock Chick and work your way along the series! You won't be disappointed. The books are very well written with some wonderful characters that introduce you to a whole new world!

Rock on!

It was a fun lil book and I had a fun lil time but there was definitely some parts where I had to pretend like I didn’t read them and the ending also seemed to be pretty rushed. A sweet and simple 4 ⭐️

Jet drove me crazy. This would’ve been an easy 5 stars if not for her.

3.5. Took forever to ge through. Confused abt ending. Huh????
