There were several things that annoyed me:
- The never-ending fixation on their childhood history and the pranks that they would play on each other. If it’s that big of a deal, work with a therapist. Don’t move in with them, or move in with them and just ignore them.
- All of the guys insistence that they weren’t bi and even the thought of being with one of the other guys was gross. So much “no homo”
- Pick a climax for the story, don’t have three or four different breaking points for their relationship (only to realize that you’re 33% through the book)
I didn’t expect much from this book. I kind thought it might be cheesy, smutty, maybe even a bit of quick to falling in love. but I ended hating nearly all the characters. The best friend is bossy and meddlesome, the guys are delusional for being in love with someone that they actively bullied and haven’t seen in years, and the main character felt stubborn and immature. Maybe it wasn’t relatable because I grew up with a younger sister so an older brother and his friends bullying wasn’t relatable. Just overall not enjoyable because 42% in and I just felt annoyed for most of it.

The pacing was weird. It felt like mostly everything was resolved in the first 60% of the book and the rest was just smutty filler.
