this was such an odd & captivating read. i loved the structure: illustrations, letters and notes mixed in with the "actual" book. we had not one, not two but three unreliable narrators who gave very different accounts of (parts of) the story, and i thoroughly enjoyed just going along with all of it. bella/victoria, regardless of who she really is, is an icon

Such a dynamic, fascinating book that delves into a wide variety of topics such as women’s autonomy, patriarchy, and socialism.

Really bizarre and whacky, bit wierd at times, but overall a good book.
