Honestly this was really cute in the beginning and very different from the show but I got bored and uncomfortable with some of the plot choices in the latter half.

lots of undersirable things, and i wasnt really invested at all. I enjoyed the before marriage fun
i think my biggest issue was the pacing. for a 380ish page book, they should not have gone from wedding to the... incident, to time skip to simon changing his whole entire outlook on love and marriage like it was so simple and quick.
would have loved some more wrestling with his beliefs and promises, especially if he could have offered up some more arguments to 'i can't'.

Having watched the Netflix show first I did have some knowledge of the characters and how some of the story would play out. With that being said they are two different stories. Large details remain the same for Simon and Daphne. Overall an easy read that I didn't want to put down. I'm now greatly looking forward to the next story and curious how much more of Daphne's second epilogue will be in the other stories.

Watched the netflix version first before reading this so my expectations were a little warped. I had no idea how far the show strayed off from the original version. I think I liked this version better just coz it's simple and much less dramatic than what you would need for tv. Didn't care much for the 2nd epilogue. Idk what the author was trying to achieve by making Daphne be pregnant again 17 years later. Anyway, very fictional and far from realistic but good light read.
