Really intriguing and compelling. I liked Ophelia so much as a character, and I really hope to see her grow into her own strength and power in the next books.

Compelling. A book for someone who likes court intrigue and commoners among the wealthy

I'm like 2h in and I keep getting pissed, the fact that it's supposed to be a matriarchal society but THE WOMEN say the most misogynist shit ever???? What's up with that lmao
And then there's the fact that yes they explain the rupture and the magic but nothing about the way the society is built or works and it's pissing me off

It’s giving chaos

3.5 stars. It was really creative if a bit random at times. Overall enjoyed it!

I've truly enjoyed the world-building and the plot of this book, all the scenery and the characters, but I just couldn't understand what the author wanted with the protagonist. I didn't understand why she was the way she was and why she trusted some people. I think the author was confused about Ophelia's personality and it really shows.
3 stars for the intriguing world.
