"For the dark truth of the world is that peace must be paid for in blood."
The Endless War is incredible. 10/10 stars. I love this book so much. It will forever be one of my favorites. Every book in the series just gets better and better. Danielle Jensen is an incredible writer and I'm so happy she has created this world and these characters. I love each and every one of them like they're my own friends. Not to mention her villains are brilliantly evil. The Empress is so smart. So twisted and horrible. This is exactly what I want in a villain.
Keris is my favorite character in the series so far. He is brilliant and his emotions hit me in a deep way that makes me feel connected to him. His fight for Zarrah is so beautiful. Danielle ramped up the suspense in this one. Literally every moment I thought we were finally safe, she would throw a curve ball and you truly will not know what is coming next. I loved this. I loved this. I loved this. What more can I say? The most incredible characters, plot, love story, political intrigue... we have it all. Wow. I'm going to have this world with me for a long time.

I love this series, but this was my least favorite of the books. It felt like a novelization of Keris's bad decisions and Zarrah fighting to rewire the belief that she is not enough. Still, I enjoyed the last 20% immensely and the closure I got with the ending. I also loved the cameos from our favorite Ithicanians.
