Okay, so I listened to the Audible version of this book just to hear Alan Alda's voice. He is a very good story teller and I love how he weaves his every day stuff into life lessons.

Alan Alda again is a funny guy, and I found with this book it was more of his speeches and life lessons to those he has encountered over the years. I found the book to be very motivating and exciting. I recommend this book to more Alan Alda fans because his advice is uplifting as well as his life story in the mix.

I listened to this book; it was narrated by Alda. He's put together a book around commencement and eulogy speeches he's given over the years. Throughout the book he dabbles with the question of "What gives life meaning?" An excellent question to consider from time to time.

I kinda see Alan Alda as my ideal dad and in reading this book, ooh, I so wished he could have been my dad. Full of wisdom, justice and inspiring words he seems pretty much perfect...and with just the right amount of fuddy-duddyness to be believable.

Listened to Alan Alda narrate the audiobook, and it was amazing. I would listen to him talk about anything. Great perspective!

I like Alda's style.

This book is excerpts from a series of talks and speeches he's given over the years, mixed in with a lot of his own commentary and experiences, as well as the context for his speeches. He talks about his children, his wife, his closest friends, his love of science, his experiences on MASH, and a little bit of his politics and distancing himself from the faith of his childhood.

It's very easy to relate to Alan Alda, I think.

This book takes place where his last one left off, he's gotten a second chance at life after an emergency surgery.
The first book covers who is he, who he was, because of the events and people around him. He tells stories about his life and the people who made it so unique.
This book is more about who he is, what he thinks, and what he believes. The title so perfectly captures what the book is about. He fills the book with various speeches throughout the years, and gives us the background, makes notes inside the parts, so that we truly understand where he is coming from, and what he means.
It makes you laugh, in some points makes you sad, and makes you think.
Which I believe what exactly what he wanted.
