This book was a delight to read, it was hilarious and emotional at the same time and is one of the best historical fictions that I have ever read. I picked it up be a use it had the same name as my favorite Taylor swift album and I am not disappointed! I loved this book and I highly recommend it!

This book took a predictable plot structure and added many unpredictable details. It keeps a realistic tone and attitude from the characters throughout the novel, even when events take a slow and almost unnoticeable turn for the darker. So many regency era stories are polished and full of proper society. While this book is set within proper society, Croucher has done an excellent job telling a story about the seedy underbelly of that society while still having a fun narrative. I found myself having complicated feelings about the characters, which is always a sign of a great writer. The only thing that kept this from being 5 stars for me is that the plot was a bit predictable at times, but I think that comes with the genre territory.
