This was my first Naina Kumar book, and I absolutely LOVED this book, so it’s safe to say this will not be my last!!

Both Meena and Nikhil had their own reasons to step away from their marriage, both had reasons to feel betrayed by the other, and I think Naina did an AMAZING job at writing and explaining each of their thoughts and feelings (especially as a single POV book!!)

There were a few moments of past-Meena and Nikhil moments, and I enjoyed that they were intertwined to the current timeline, making it seem as though Meena was truly back in time in her thoughts.

The conflict, the extenuating circumstances to lead them to spending the night in close proximity, the yearning, I was in love with it all! Naina described the context of a hurricane and aftermath in a way that felt considerate to the natural disaster, but still framed it in a semi-romantic (?) way for Meena and Nikhil to be stuck together.

And the tertiary characters, I loved that they had just the right amount of depth to them! I think everyone knows an Alan-like neighbor, and I loved that we got to see more of Meena and her sister towards the end!

I truly think this is one of the best books I have read this year!!!

This is wayyy better than the debut.

Flirting with Disaster took me by surprise. I especially love Miss Kumar writing. Her style of writing is something that match with my taste.
The plot is second change love. It is cute and yet simple. Not much of drama. The characters are lovely.

This book was fine. Nothing to write home about. Romance books have not been doing it for me lately.
