This was the perfect romance for the 20-somethings who go to therapy and understand that not every past relationship is the other person's fault. It's for the person who sees their flaws in a previous relationship and wants to be better for the next one (or the inevitable return of a previous one 😉). I loved this story. I laughed, I cried, I felt inspired. Meena was a brilliantly written character and I'm so honored to keep a copy of this book on my shelf.

H-town, holding it downnnn

If you're picking a book to read on the plane to your honeymoon, this one may not be it. It's not because it's a bad book, but because reading a couple argue and refuse to rehash the past for 200+ pages just doesn't set the right tone.

I like second-chance romances, and miscommunication doesn't really upset me the way it upsets others. I just didn't root for the two leads as a couple- their breakup made sense, and their reunification was basically a weather-induced hostage situation.

At the end of the day, as far as romances go, this was ultimately just fine.

I didn't love this one, but I'd read from this author again.
