‘Her Royal Highness’ was exactly what I needed. It was light and funny and sweet and adorable and all those other words.
Millie decides to head to Scotland to go to school after she sees her best friend/sorta girlfriend kissing someone else. There she meets her new roommate, Flora. Flora is as stuck up and rude as they come at first glance. They clash right away and I found it amusing to watch them go head to head.
I recommend this to anyone wanting a quick, fun and light read.

THIS WAS EVERYTHING I NEVER KNEW I NEEDED!!! I mean enemies-to-lovers royals and LGBTQ romance??? HOW can you ge t better than THAT???
This is the first all lgbtq+ romance that I've ever read and it made me CRY. I never understood how much I missed validation and representation. I related so much to both the main characters and the whole book was just so heartwarming for me.
It's a really quick book, I finished it in one day, but gave me all the feels all the same

I'm torn as I enjoyed the story quite a lot, but also... the pacing was kinda off at times, which was showcased incredibly well with the really abrupt ending, and although it was sweetly fluffy then I would have wanted more depth from the story and not just fluff. For example, I think the story would have benefitted from fleshing out this 'universe' more as right now it was a little lacking. As was the communication or building of the relationship while already more or less dating. Definitely wanted more of that before the grand gesture and abrupt ending.

It was fun, it wasn't amazing but I liked certain aspects of the story. And the lgbtq+ representation is always fun haha
It's just not for me. I can't stand any of the two girls, I know is YA, but they act like 13 years old and they're getting on my nerves.

It was cute, but I found the ending cringy and I hated the fight between Flora and Millie right before the dramatic reconciliation. It just didn’t really feel like the most realistic conflict they could have created for these two, and I feel like the big fight right before the end is such a tired trope it really needs to be done well for me to like it
