The plot was okay-ish, but I can't be the only one who didn't enjoy the prose at all.

There were way too many sentences that were unnecessarily long. Too many commas.

The dialogue was painful at times. Okaaay I get that you're trying to be realistic but staaahp. (Staaahp was actually used in the book, along with parentheticals that could have been narrated differently instead.)

If you read a passage that seems familiar, it's probably because you've read something similar earlier in the book. Exhibit A: she touches your lower lip and something about sparks or sparkles yadda yadda.

I understand that this might be a stylistic choice, and some people might be into this. If you're looking for some light gay reading, this might be for you.

the book was very good. i did have an issue where it was like 50% of them not liking each other then ONE event happened and suddenly they both do. the event did not seem all that life-changing if i am going to be honest, it didnt read as particularly romantically/emotionally sparking. (it felt like suddenly their personalities just changed.)

regardless, the plot was more complex than the first book in the series, but I liked the first book more somehow. but like... this book did kinda slap tho, idk what my conclusion is.

This book was exactly what I needed. Fluffy and queer, a great start to Pride month.

This book helped me forget normal, stressful things and made my heart so happy. I recently studied abroad, so a lot of the plot points felt familiar to me, although Millie had a more enjoyable time than I did.

My one real complaint was that is was too short. The pacing was a little off, spent too much time establishing Millie. I would have preferred the first chapter end with meeting Flora. However, everything else was great!!!

Millie and Flora had such a amazing chemistry!!! And I love the Defrosting the Ice Queen trope so, so much!!!! Flora had Brooke Davis vibes, and while I don't love One Tree Hill, I do love Brooke Davis. Millie had this grounding effect on Flora and she pulled Millie out of her shell and made her smile!!!

I'm gushing so much, but this book really is just loads of fun and felt like a warm blanket wrapped around me.

Very fluff.

3,5
solid book, maybe at a younger age I would have enjoyed the style and tone a bit more. It felt a bit too young for my liking but overall it was nice. The characters had such nice chemistry. Just the side characters felt a little too flat somewhat
all in all nice book
