i too would like to go to boarding school and fall in love with my roommate
Spoiler(also i really though saks was going to turn out to be a fake friend/the one leaking everything the entire time)

this was a quick read, but for my taste too fan-fiction-y. the timeline was a bit confusing to me. don't get me wrong, I liked some parts, but others were just rushed. sometimes I couldnt really understand why a character was acting the way they did.
in my opinion the characters and the story could've been a tad more fleshed out to make this feel more round.

but I do think it's fun to imagine an alternate universe where there is a Scottish royal family.

This was so cute! It's definitely something quick and feel-good; I might buy it just for a rainy day read, and also, look at this cover!!

I listened to the audiobook, and I enjoyed the narrator's accents (although another reviewer I follow pointed out that she has a deep south accent but she's from Huston, and as someone who lived in Huston, I can confirm that people didn't sound like the narrator, but I liked her voice anyway), and it was really easy to distinguish the characters.

I really liked Millie as a character, and I liked her relationship with Flora and how it develops (even if it feels a little rushed at the end). I didn't really care for Millie's boarding school friends, especially Saks, and I didn't buy into how those relationships developed at all.

I honestly didn't expect much out of this; I didn't think it was going to change my life or make me think or be a new favorite book. I'm just here for the f/f romance, and that's what I got. It met my expectations, so there were definitely things I didn't love, but it was a good time.

I would read more from this series/universe because I'm interested in Flora's siblings as characters. I recommend it for the cuteness and also the Scottish accents in the audiobook.

This book was good. I think I wanted the romance to last a little bit longer. Maybe just be fleshed out a bit more. I loved the two characters and could feel the chemistry that they had. I just wanted a bit more scenes of them together, ya know? I would recommend to someone looking for a queer book though. Was very very cute

It's about DAMN TIME I got my cute fluffy romance story where the female protagonist falls for someone who happens to be royal. And it's QUEER.

We've seen this story before. It's not new, but Hawkins is giving queer girls their moment with this sweet romance full of a swoon-worthy couple. So I'm 100% here for it.

Honestly, I have to admit I didn't read the first book, Royals. But I've had my eye on this story for so long now and saw that it was a companion novel rather than a sequel, so I decided to go for it. I feel that not having read Royals (now titled Prince Charming) didn't negatively impact my experience with this story, if anything I might've just known some minor characters a bit much. But the book as a whole works on its own.

Our two main characters here, Millie and Flora, both have their own backstories and information we gradually learn. We grow to fall for Flora and feel for her the way Millie does. The banter between all characters is amusing. We also get an incredible collection of side characters, all of them making for an interesting and funny story overall. Honestly it's an overall great time.

This book is filled with so many great things, my only issues being the pacing in the second half. There was just something lacking there and it felt a bit rushed, but I'm overall happy and swooning over the story. There's one dumb thing that happened but it was resolved quickly and I see other people weren't too happy with it either, but the story quickly recovers from it.

This book now leaves me wanting more queer royal stories. And hopefully this one leads the path into queer stories like this being more common.

(Also also also makes me more excited to be writing my own story at the moment featuring queer princesses so that's exciting).

Overall I'd definitely recommend this one for someone looking for a quick, cute sapphic read!

This was entertaining and fluffy fun! It's so nice to read a "girl falls in love with a princess" story vs. the usual "girl falls in love with a prince"; if you loved "Red White & Royal Blue" you should give this a try.
