Relevant and relatable
Mindy Kaling’s reflection on faith, being “kinda” Hindu and the connection that comes with it as she becomes a mother.

I love Mindy Kaling. Not only was she an excellent writer and Kelly on The Office, but I enjoyed her [b:Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?|10335308|Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)|Mindy Kaling|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1443264638l/10335308._SY75_.jpg|15237902] very much. She is so real and down to earth.
In this first installment she talks about motherhood and how your own faith can become very important when you think about the fact that you are responsible for your child's beliefs. At least the formation. That doesn't sound particularly funny, but Kaling makes it so.

Sweet reflection on making peace with one's culture, and the connections it can provide.

I am biased. I adore Mindy Kaling. I think she is hilarious and smart and unbelievably relatable for a celebrity.
This story was all of that. Mindy’s thoughts on religion made me feel SO seen, so understood.
This story fees like girlfriends sitting down and telling stories, and I loved spending a little time pretending Mindy Kaling is my BFF.
