Shade has an unfortunate problem. He sheds dust. And his dust could out paranormals. So when Lily receives his dust for testing, Shade must do what he can to stop her. He never expected to fall in love with her. Now, can he protect paranormals and his heart. I enjoyed this first story in Ms. Ryan's Dante's Circle series. Lily and her friends are a great group to meet. I loved the relationship they have with each other. It added an additional layer to the characters and the story. Shade is between a rock and a hard place. And falling in love with Lily does not make it any easier. I love that Ms. Ryan gave us their unexpected journey into love. Shade appreciates Lily and her quirks even as he feels bad for lying. And Lily isn't sure what to expect as Shade slowly takes over her heart. This story is enjoyable. The characters are lovable and funny. I look forward to where Ms. Ryan will take us next in this new world.

Dust of my wings is another great start to a great series by Carrie Ann Ryan! I loved the supernatural element to this series and am looking forward to seeing how each character develops. Shade is one hot angel and his pursuit of Lily is a great read. I liked the development of Lily's character and the strength of the friendship between all of the women. Looking forward to reading the whole series!

This is a great introduction to a series. Shade and Lily are great together. Ambrose is a great best friend to Shade. I look forward to read the rest of the series and see what happens with the rest of Lily's friends. I am sure that Jamie and Ambrose have a future together.

Questionable in almost every way ("vile" instead of "vial"?!), but an entertaining popcorn read.

Confession - this is not my favourite genre, so it's not that surprising that this is not my favourite book from this author. There were things that I really enjoyed - the unusual premise, the humour & the not all together characters. If you enjoy this type of paranormal then this book is for you.

I am a big Carrie Ann Ryan fan and this was the series that started it all for me! Shade is a hot angel who falls for Lily. I loved the story and looked forward to reading the rest of the series.

Some many times I was like, "Who says that?" Did the author break open a thesaurus and decide to use it for every word over 5 letters?

I read this as a buddy read challenge on goodreads, and I loved it. The take on angels alone makes it worth a try. But the way Lily is changed over to a supernatural being makes you stop and wonder at the possibilities. It was all enough to make me want take see what's going to happen next!

I'm a fan of this author, and I'm not sure how I missed reading this series since I have all the books. #bookhoarder

This is a new and interesting take on the paranormal world and I'm very interested in all the characters of the "lightning strike". Although I'm giving the story 3.5 stars (sorry half stars don't show) I think it's just because it was a new foray into this world for the author when she wrote it way back in 2012. I'm sure it's developed. And I can't wait to see what's next up.
