Oh, how I love the misadventures of Jane Jameson. Nice Girls Don't Live Forever is an excellent addition to the series.

In this installment, it felt like a lot of plots that were set into motion in the previous novels were resolved, which always makes me happy because I like getting answers!

I have to admit I was very frustrated with Gabriel in the beginning. While his mysteriousness was intriguing in the beginning, I felt just as bothered by it as Jane in this novel, and I wasn't thrilled with the way he handled things. However, I was very sad by the lack of Gabriel throughout a good chunk of the book.

The other characters, however, more than made up for missing Gabriel. Zeb and Jolene are always fun characters to hear about. Jolene's crazy family keeps things interesting, so I was excited to see more of that continuing in this novel. And I love Dick. He's probably my favorite side character, and I also enjoy Andrea, so it was fun to have them play a bigger role throughout the book.

Plot wise, I enjoyed the mystery of Jane's stalker a lot. I felt like the plot in this novel was stronger than the previous one while still retaining the humor that I really enjoy about Molly Harper's previous work.

Hilarious! There were some stuff that the characters really obviously overlooked the entire book to further the "mystery." I got really frustrated a few times because of this. Other than that, it was funny and I loved getting to know the characters further. Onto the next one!

NOTE: I am really sad that my May 2011 Series read has come to an end. This is the best book of a really good series and I am sad to see it end. Oh wait, just went to the Molly's website and there will be a 4th book! Excuse me while I jump for joy! If you love fun, sassy, and great character reads then this series is for you!

What I Loved: Jane Jameson is hands down my favorite book character since the feisty Elizabeth Bennett in Pride and Prejudice. Jane says the first thing that comes to her, is sarcastic, smart, runs a book store, and well is just a normal woman who happens to be a vampire. She makes me laugh out loud hysterically! Dick Cheney continues to be just an adorable friend to her and I had fun with his new dating relationship with Jane's best friend. I like when someone can make the lovable Dick be a man. I also, gulp, finally warmed up to Gabriel (only took 3 books) but still think the boy needs a copy of Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus shipped to him STAT!

What I Liked: Just about everything in this book clicked. Some of my favorite parts were the Chamber of Commerce Meeting at the Mexican Restaurant, the baby shower, and most of the book store scenes. Nice Girls Don't Live Forever just really was chock full of fun times.

Complaints: None now that I know there is a 4th book!

Audio Review: Narrated by Amanda Ronconi who again does an excellent job with the women's voices especially Jane's voice. I really like how Amanda pulls off all the one-liners that Molly writes! I am getting used to the guys voices.

Why I gave this book a 4.25: Fun, Fun, Fun! This series was just a blast!

Who would I recommend this too: PNR readers who like the lighter fair!

I really didn't like this book all that much. Jane is funny but she is also kind of stupid. Gabriel's big secret, the one that almost ruined his relationship because he refused to tell Jane, was ridiculous. He said he didn't want to tell her because he was protecting her and he was embarrassed and thats complete bullshit. I HATED Gabriel in this book. I know I'm in the minority because I have read a few reviews and everyone seems to love him and I'm over here like.. wtf is wrong with people.

Don't even get me started on the sex scene against the building. Gabriel hadn't talked to her in weeks, he shows up kisses her forehead and Jane forgets all about their many, many problems and lets him screw her against a wall. Oh and they both know that there is a crazy chick out there stalking Jane, taking pictures of her but that doesn't matter.

Honestly there wasn't a whole lot I enjoy about this one. Even Jane's quips couldn't save it for me. I was so annoyed with Jane and Gabriel that I couldn't enjoy the humor.

First read October 28, 2011.

Listened to audiobook October 2013.

The story was fine. It’s intensely fat phobic and slut shame-y tho, so i can’t really get behind it.

Becoming a vampire doesn't fix sibling rivalry or insecurities from high school,  but it does bring drama.

Pure trash, as the male protag continues his slide into controlling abuser.
