What was that ending? That was horrifying.

That stinky Arthur Pritchard is at it again.

I haven’t read anything after book 2 from this series until now, part because they were hard to get and the other part because the characters changed and I love me some Sloane and James. Quinlan is not as likeable as Sloane, and I straight up don’t like Deacon. He gave me weird vibes the whole time and the epilogue really showed his true colors.

I did like that it’s a pretty good lead into The Program world. Things are already pretty screwed up with using closers as temporary replacements for those who have just died (read the description, you’ll get it). I’m very interested to see how the next book lines it up even more so.

Suzanne Youngs books are kind of like inception for me. Mind blowing, earth shattering, makes you question your existence type books. This one was no different. I thought I saw the ending coming but I definitely did not. It's kind of scary how many parallels I see between her books and society today. Loved it in the scariest and most hesitant way possible.

I read the Program and its sequel and saw that she wrote a couple prequels as well. I did not get into this book that easily, it didn't grab me as much as the Program did, and I almost returned it without finishing, but I decided to give it another chance. Once I gave it another chance, I did like it. Quinlan is a likeable character and I felt as if I should keep reading to help her somehow. There is a twist at the end which I didn't see coming, but makes sense. I would love to go out and read the sequel, but it hasn't been published yet. I'm not sure I see the point of the Closers, even after reading this, but other than that, I did enjoy it.

This was an okay book. It was a little confusing, to be completely honest and I wasn’t sure where it fit it with the rest of The Program series. Young used good word choice, which I always appreciate. I would recommend this book to someone who like undercover novels because of a lot of the roles in this book.

I’m shocked I’ve never written a review for this book. I read it for the first time almost 2 1/2 years ago and I’m still amazed by this story. This book and the next one (so far) are my favorites in the series. There is just something to Suzanne Young’s writing that gets to me. Whether I’m listening or physically reading this book, I become overwhelmed with emotions. The characters are so good and I never know what I’d do if I were in Quinn’s place. The ending, per usual, was fabulous and even though I knew what to expect, I still feel anxious as if reading it for the first time. Brava. Brava. I’m so glad I decided to reread this serious. Now, on to book four.

I liked the other books in the series more but not bad. Still very suspenseful and makes you want to continue reading until you have devoured the book.

Suzanne Young does it again. This book took me so many different places, to meet so many different individuals, in such a short period of time. This time from a different viewpoint, the character assists those struggling with loss. Little does she know, she seems to have lost everyone, including herself. Every relationship she has is confusing and uncertain. I only hope the ones she shares dearly are strong enough to endure what’s to come.
