2022 Eisner Award finalist - Best Limited Series, Best Writer (Ram V), Best Penciller/Inker or Penciller/Inker Team (Filipe Andrade), Best Coloring (Filipe Andrade/Inês Amaro)
This is a poignant look at life and death. Not much happens, really, but there are some thought provoking ideas presented. The god of Death is "fired" from her job and lives a mortal life as Laila Starr in India. However, she is resurrected by the god of Life every time she dies, so she's not quite mortal. She spends her existence looking for a baby who grows into a man and then an old man. She believes his discovery of an invention to eliminate death is the reason she was fired. But when she confronts the man at various points in his life, things are not quite what they are supposed to be. The artwork by Filipe Andrade, with coloring by Inês Amaro, is bright and modern.

A sweet reflection on life and how me live it, remember it and make the most of our time
This five issue comic is so beautiful. The colors are striking and the display of Indian culture is very beautiful to see on the page. It also has a lot of wisdom surrounding life and death. Give it a read if you have the chance!
My favorite part about this was the color palette. The first issue was great and the setup was excellent, however the plot doesn't really go anywhere. This is one of those stories that tries to be profound and maybe some will think that it is, but it fell short for me. The ending did make me a little emotional but that was only because there was a hurt puppy involved.
