This is the story that reignited my interested in comics. It’s on a number of recent best of lists, and deservedly so- sharp, skillful writing paired with beautiful art and a sumptuous, vivid color palette. The Many Deaths of Laila Starr is touching and gorgeous, a stand-out graphic novel you’ll want to buy and share. Highly recommended.

may or may not tear up at this. so naturally it's 10 out of 10.

Striking art in a beautiful setting.

“This is the miracle. This place. The sea beyond. No grand magic, just a quiet breath taken to yourself.”

Gorgeous art with a heart warming message

I liked this but it was super rushed in the second half. There wasn't as much Laila as I thought there would be.

Absolutely stunning read, great collection of essays in the back matter too
