On top of being a visually stunning graphic novel, Laila Starr manages to be one of the best stories on grief and living a fulfilled life I’ve read in a long time. It flows like a whispered dream through the pages with unique narrative viewpoints before ending on a beautiful scene that will resonate for a while.

Gorgeously executed, narratively and artistically. Definitely finished this one a little misty eyed.

Beautifully illustrated graphic novel that explores living life fully and the relationship humans have with death.

I can tell I’m going to read this again and again whenever I need something life affirming.

I’m in two minds though, a part of me wants to loan this out to everybody I know so they can enjoy it too but another part just wants to keep it pristine on my own bookshelf and stare at it daily- its just that beautiful!
