I wish I read this after my dog died. Never before has a comic made me cry and I'm glad it was this that did it

I love seeing Kali (Death) in media, however the deity imagery only appeared briefly at the beginning. I like the overall artistic style but didn’t care much for the plot.
I WAS BROUGHT INTO THE WORLD WITH A KISS AND A PHOSPHOROUS FLAME. A MOMENT IN WHICH I IMAGINE WE WERE BOTH TRULY ALIVE.— cigarettes

Beautiful, poignant, indie comic about questioning the meaning of defying death. The art is very unique and gorgeous. My attention slipped a bit for a moment in Darius' adolescent years, but the beginning of this story and the end are very strong. I like the message that, for some, chasing immortality leads to missing moments with the people that make life meaningful to begin with.
A recommend if you're in the mood for these types of discussions.

Beautiful palette cleanser. The art is beautiful, the story although it's about death is relatively light with adorable characters and narrators. Did i mention that the art is beautiful? you do have to suspend belief but that's sorta what you get into when you pick up a book with the premise that death was fired and is then seeking from preventing immortality. has some lessons and wisdom bits about life and death and continuation.
