Excellent. Will be checking out Ram V's other work. The art is outstanding too.

I absolutely adored this fable about life, death, and how either needs the other if they are to matter at all. The goddess of death is exiled to a mortal life when it appears that humanity has discovered a cure for death itself, so Death herself decides to kill the offending human in an act of vengeance. When she realizes she can't do it, she begins on a long voyage that shows how mortality and humanity are not neccessarily the same thing, and that while death comes for us all, life is something that must be sought out. Told with a wonderfully dreamy tone and artwork, this is a book that pulled me in and never let me go.

This was such a moving book about what it means to be death and to live with death...

A super quick comic book read with a really interesting philosophical question at the heart of it. I love the way it ended, just wish there were more to it!

Beautiful art and a philosophical story exploring mortality. A little pretentious at times, but overall thoughtful and relatable.

Intriguing read. There is a lot of development, and it's interesting to see how each of Laila's deaths come together in the end. Great illustrations.

I’ve read many graphic novels over this year, none as good as this one. Really extraordinary. Superbly written and the artwork is fabulous. Such a powerful story with real impact, i had to read it in one sitting - I really didn’t want to put it down. I also know that it’s a book I’ll go back to again and again.

Extraordinary, remarkable, superb and very, very beautiful.

A meditation on death, grief, and life I’d like to revisit.
