The Playboy is the first book to the Spade Hotel series and this follows Macon and Brooklyn. I absolutely loved them together, their relationship was everything so sexy, the banter was so good and the spice was delicious. I am obsessed with Macon.

There was no 3rd act break up and they handled their problems like adults. It was not giving playboy it was giving love at first sight. Very wholesome story. That is not what I signed up for. Lol

I think this is the first book where I’d say I should’ve read it than listened to it. The male lead just made me want to quit.
The plot of the book was good. The FMC had to tackle being with a rich MMC while being the maid who cleaned his room while the MMC had to come to terms with settling down and being his partner’s boss. The MMC spoiled her and listened to everything she said. He didn’t care about her background in the way she thought he would. Everything he did, he did it out of love or because she deserved it. Since the FMC was a strong independent woman she had a hard time accepting gifts but she came around to understand that he’s not giving her hand outs, he opened a door he knew she deserved to walk through.
It ended on a happy cliffhanger and concluded their story on a high note.

Enjoyed a lot of this except the main conflict wasn't for me - liked the characters though!
A quick and easy read. The book has lots of spicy scenes. The playboy falls for a girl and changes who he is. He does better. Brooklyn learns who she is and that she loves Macon. Their differences don't matter if they have each other.
